What we do
CrossFit is a training methodology that uses functional movements in workouts that are constantly varied and performed at high intensity. The program works for everyone — people who have never worked out, those who have trained for years, all shapes and sizes and any age. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you can do.
- Functional movements help us with everyday life. Some examples you might see in our classes are pushing, pulling, lifting, squatting and jumping.
- Constantly varied means new workouts programmed every day with different movements, rep schemes, loads, and time domains- you’ll never get bored!
- A workout that generates high intensity for one person may not be for another, therefore we scale the movements, loads, distances etc. to ensure each individual is doing a workout that is achievable, yet intense for them. If you’re working hard, chances are you’re getting fitter.
These classes are designed to improve your olympic lifts (snatch and clean and jerk) and are programmed and led by British Weightlifting coaches. All members have free access to this class and drop ins can book by contacting @belfastbarbellclub directly on instagram.
Those with no experience in CrossFit or weightlifting, may attend after completing the weightlifting fundamentals course (£50).

OPEN GYM FACILITIES
We are fortunate enough to have the largest CrossFit facility in Belfast.
In addition to our 3,600 sq foot class area, we have a 2,600 sq ft open gym area that includes 5 weightlifting platforms plus a range of strength and conditioning equipment.
